I'm baffled as to why people are such cowards that they can't be honest in a video game. I don't like chocolate, are you now baffled as to why I don't? zOMG, unique characteristics? What is this. You're baffled as to why people handle things differently than you? Well this is an interesting development. Myself and others are just baffled as to why people can't just tell others they don't feel like talking and also boggled by people who think you can't say so without coming off as rude. All it really boils down to is, sometimes I just want some serious alone time.Īlso sometimes I just want to play secret guilty pleasure alts. I don't understand all the vehemency against it, actually (I've heard some people say some very nasty things about it). And I'm certainly not going to remove a friend over something like that, or be rude to them. I will definitely utilize it though, as I seem to have friends who don't realize what "DND" means. It really is a simple matter of, "if you don't like it, don't use it". Thanks for your continued feedback, and we’ll share more information on the availability of this new feature in the months ahead. For World of Warcraft and StarCraft II, we expect to add the option sometime after the release of each game’s upcoming expansion.

For Diablo III, we expect to add the feature in a patch after 1.0.5. The “Appear Offline” status option will be added to World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Diablo III separately in future updates for each game. When you choose this option as your status, all of your Real ID friends, BattleTag friends, and character-level friends will see you as “Offline” in their friends list whenever you’re logged into a game.

Soon, World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Diablo III players will be able to select "Appear Offline" as one of their social-status options (along with Available, Busy, and Away) for those times when they want to wander Azeroth by their lonesome, dominate the galaxy in radio silence, or slay demons in solitude.

In fact, everyone has been gifted a Hearthstone card pack to help kick things off.In the coming months, we're planning an update to that will give you more control over your online presence when playing Blizzard games. You'll get a notification next to your profile name when you receive one of these. This is managed through the Shop tab, and it allows you to send "gift-enabled" items from the store, such as Overwatch loot boxes, and Hearthstone card packs. Last but not least, the update made it possible for players to send each other gifts, though not everything can be gifted. Profile pictures will no longer show the default person outline, as you're now able to select an avatar from a few pre-made ones that cover Blizzard games as well as Destiny 2. Speaking of online status, you can now, finally, set your status to 'appear offline' on top of the already available 'busy' and 'away' option. This ties into the recently launched mobile app, meaning you can pick up the conversation on the go. The Social tab allows you to send chat messages to friends even when they're offline.

Groups support a suit of admin tools that let mods manage invitations, memberships, and the content of these channels. Groups can have multiple text and voice channels - again, like Discord. Functioning in a similar way to Discord, this tab lets you chat with friends across the different games, as well as create and join groups.

The biggest new addition is the Social tab. Many of these features first became available earlier this month as part of an open beta, but they've now all made their way to all players.
